Between a good ol' fashion blizzard & all the celeb snaps from Sundance, I'm still really into winter apparel right now! Lucky for all of us, retailers are on to Spring, which means major markdowns for the things you want & need right now! Happy sale surfing!
Normally, I'm a nude girl. No you dirty birds, I'm not talking about my birthday suit- I'm talking about my lip color! I always gravitate towards a slightly pigmented, shiny, neutral gloss. I love makeup. I mean really love it! I'll wear bold shadows and dramatic lashes everyday of the week, but when it comes to bright lips, I've always felt like I look like I'm playing dress up. It fades, it smudges- I end up looking like the joker before I even make it to lunch time! But, ever persistent, I keep trying. After the Kylie Jenner lip-gate controversy of 2014, I decided it was time to test out a liner. I was on the right track. It helped make color last a little longer when you filled in the full-lip, but it still wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I needed more! After flipping through some magazines this weekend (thank you, snow!) I decided to try a lip crayon. A little chubbier, and user-friendly, it's like the more fun, younger sister to liner. Having done zero research, I randomly chose Sonia Kashuk lip crayon in "candy nude". I think I'm obsessed! It provides a matte, but fully pigmented pink hue that wasn't drying at all. And it has some pretty serious staying power! After a plate full of nachos, it had only worn slightly- and I'm no dainty eater! I can't think of a better way to add a little fun to an otherwise Mundane Monday in the middle of winter.

The kale crush rages on! Queen Bey upped the ante on the lovable leaf with her kale sweatshirt in 7/11. And now, everybody's favorite trendsetting liar, Aria, is keeping the fire burning with her kale tank in this week's episode of PLL. You can't deny that there's a place for kale in pop culture right now, and while I prefer it on my plate, to each his own. Kale Yeah!
