No matter where you go, it's all about the Olympics right now. Sure, it's fun to watch gymnastics, swimming and table tennis, but I'm mainly watching the royal fashion. I mean, Kate Middleton's closet must be huge! She had alot of great looks this week, but I'm going to focus on one that we can all relate to: the navy blazer. Everyone could use one, even if they don't know it. Kate's is perfection, but I've also found a couple that are a little more budget friendly- although hers is currently on sale.

OK, so Olympian I am not. In fact I just ran my first ever 5K, and let me tell you people- it's hard. So hats off to all the Olympians who've worked their butts off to show us what they've got in London. But, If you're a little less athlete and a little more fashionista, you can still show your support! Whether it's metallic shorts or some fab Alex and Ani bangles, you can go for the gold yourself! Because the way I look at, everyday is the fashion olympics!

The Silver! Diane von Furstenberg Clean Simca metallic-lamé shorts (on sale!)
The bangles! Alex and Ani Olympics collection. Range in price from $32 upwards
Looks like there's a new girl in town! In this week's episode of Pretty Little Liars we were introduce to CeCe. She seems like she's going to be a trouble maker, but as we all know the best way to get away with something- is by looking cute! She nailed it! Summery boho chic, exactly what I'm in the mood for these days. I'm excited to see what she'll be bringing- and wearing- the rest of the season.

When I love a bag, I basically use it to death. As in, I use it so much all my friends and family are totally sick of it, and it usually begins to literally fall apart. Quite the opposite has been happening with my current handbag of choice. Well, I still use it for everything, everyday, but instead of eye rolls- I'm getting tons of compliments! From co-workers and friends, to people literally stopping me while shopping- all wanting to know where it's from. I couldn't be happier to spread the word about one of my fave brands: Brahmin. Brahmin has a classic style, but incorporates bold new trends each season. They've even been the designer of the official "Fashion's Night Out" tote for a couple of years. I'm fortunate enough to live near the factory and have even been able to tour it! All of their bags are gorgeously handmade and last forever! They even have an outlet on site and occasionally hold not to be missed tent sales. Amazing!
Vivian Chevron Stripe Dome- also comes in citron (so cute!) and other styles!
My faith in love on a reality show has been restored...for now. I am not embarrassed to admit that I am totally obsessed with the show "The Bachelor", "The Bachelorette", and basically all of its incarnations. Over the years though, the show has become a little less of a search for a "life mate" and more of a search for a "right now mate." Until Sunday night. Gorgeous Emily picked eloquent and cute Jef ...and (this is the best part) they are still happily together! I may be proven wrong later, but I think these two crazy kids might actually make it! Anyway, that's not why you're here. You're here because Emily's clothes are so darn cute! I could write a dozen posts about her style, but I'm going to zero in on the look I liked best from the finale- her highlighter-yellow skirt!! We already know I love yellow (I do, look here) and the trendy slits up the side cemented this maxi for me. The skirt is currently sold out, but will probably be back. In the meantime you can buy a similar look by the same company, or buy one of these looks for less I found.

Through my extensive online stalking of all things fashion, I've notice many people searching for the striped dress in the TJ Maxx commercial. As a "maxxinista" myself, I felt it my duty to find said dress for the people. There is good news and bad news here. I'll start with the good: I found it! Now the bad: it's not exactly easy to find. I assume that it is a past season or limited edition dress (which many things are at TJ's) meaning you may actually have to seek out multiple stores to try and find it. Since the dress is so fab, though, it could already be gone, and as all maxxinistas know, each store gets different inventory, so it may never have been there to begin with. Here's some more good news though- I did find it on eBay so you can take your chances there. More good news: it comes in a different color that is much easier to find! I actually included it in a post a few weeks back. Since then, it's sold out at many retailers (including the one I originally linked to), but is still available with a little digging. The dress is the "Maggy London Nautical Stripe Maxi". Enter that into your search engine and it will come up at different retailers- hopefully one of which will have your size. Happy shopping!

Good lord those Pretty Little Liars sure are well dressed for high school students! I mean, should we be taking fashion advice from people who are supposed to be, like, 16 yearS old? Well, I am. I am obsessed with Hanna's jeans from this past episode. As a loyal "jeans girl" this is an easy way to make an outfit edgy and trendy. Add a basic top and some big earrings and you are good to go!

It's hot. It's sweaty. Basically: It's not pretty. How is a girl expected to look chic while perspiring at just the thought of movement? Summer can be tricky to navigate in the fashion world when you're a gal on the go. So I am taking a style cue from George Clooney's current flame: Stacy Keibler. From the moment I saw this look, I needed to learn more about it. Lightweight but still ultra-stylish, this girl knows how to make it work. You can wear alone, or bring along to the beach to go from sand to cocktails. I'm not sure how long Clooney will keep her around, but this jumper is definitely a keeper!

Summer is all about ease. That's why I've come up with a summer uniform to break out on weekends, so I never have to waste time worrying what to wear. I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure Heidi Klum is on to me, because she was spotted in my uniform! The newly single super model and mom was snapped on the streets of NYC in this adorable mini-skirt striped top combo. We've talked about stripes before, remember? If not, refresh your memory here. You really can wear them- I promise! Pair that with an adorably cute skirt or, as is often my case, a pair of denim cutoffs and you are good to go to the beach, farmers' market, shopping or errands! Toss in a fedora and some fun shades and you'll be the queen of cool all summer!
