As shoe week comes to a close (dry those eyes!) I am bringing you a totally guilt free and on-trend treat! That's right, today is all about cowboy boots! I know, I know, I was a skeptic myself until I saw one of my very fashionable friends rockin’ a pair (Frye, natch!) a couple years ago. They can be expensive, and I am a budget babe, so I scoured and scoured until I found a phenomenal pair that I snatched up immediately. The next year I bought a second pair in a different color. Under boot-cut and over skinny jeans- even with dresses and skirts; I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have worn these faux Fryes! And I saved the best part for last: they are only $60. Get them. Immediately.
As shoe week happily rolls along, I am reminded of one of my mottos: "If it's good enough for Rachel Zoe, it's good enough for me!". The celeb stylist turned fashion icon even has her own line of clothing! Her things are, as expected, fabulous, albeit not incredibly budget friendly. Take for example these sky-high heels. I love the emerald color especially with the jewel-tone trend for fall, but they also come in black and camel. I would happily buy these if I won the lottery, but until then, I've found a great pair that will do the trick. They also come in a fun jewel-tone (berry) or black. I think Rachel would approve.
It's day 2 of shoe week (Tuesday Shoesday!) and I've picked a real stunner to share with you! Recently, Rockport gave me a pair of their new Presia Zip Shootie in leopard to try out. They had me at leopard. When these babies arrived in the mail my jaw literally dropped to the ground, tongue rolling out of my mouth onto the wood floor. Seriously! But, in addition to looking amazing, these "shooties" are actually comfortable! Rockport used special cushioning by Adidas to make the boots comfier and easier to wear all day long. Here's the best part, I have a special code to share with all my stylish friends (you!). Get 15% off when you enter the code "STYLELIST" at checkout online! Offer is good until the end of September- enjoy!

Welcome to shoe week! I can hear you whispering to all your friends now, "What's shoe week?", "Did you know about shoe week?", "Happy shoe week!". Don't worry, you didn't miss anything- I just made it up! As I've been scouting my upcoming fall wardrobe, I find myself going back to shoes. Starting from the ground up this year I guess! There are so many great styles to choose from this season, boots, heels- boots with heels! I'm also delighted to see that pointy-toes are back, which leads me to the very first post of shoe week! These insanely perfect, beautiful, edgy, yet sophisticated Valentino studded leather pumps. I literally dreamed about these last night. And I'll have to keep dreaming about them, because they are $700. The good news? I found a great "look for less"! Are they Valentino? No. But I think they're still pretty freakin' fabulous. And here's a little tip about Piperlime- you can get 10% off your purchase on Tuesdays by using code "TUESDAYS", but beware- it does not apply to all items.
Often times here on "Wears it from?" I write about saving you money or looks for less. Today is not one of those days. I started this blog mainly because I just wanted to share when I really loved a piece of clothing- to everyone I know! This is one of those days. Sometimes, you just inexplicably love something for no reason what-so-ever; with that, I bring you today's post about a sweatshirt! Yup. A sweatshirt. I saw this Zoe Karssen sweatshirt kicking around some other fashion blogs, and I was instantly drawn to it. It made me pine for casual, lazy autumn weekends of shopping and chai latte drinking. As I stalked it online, I was sad to find out that the going rate for this beaut is about $160. Again I say, for a sweatshirt. The more I looked, the more it was out of stock, and I thought, eh- not meant to be. Then, I (somewhat obviously) went to the direct designer website, where I discovered the price to be just over a hundred bucks (once you convert it from euros!). Um hello! I snatched it up. It arrived the other day and I am happy to report that it is pure cozy heaven. It also comes in a "heavenly pink" and black. Now I'm kind of obsessed with everything they have. Did I mention my biggest discovery of all? Apparently worldwide shipping is only about $5. I feel like I've found some sort of secret society.
I must be in a sparkly mood lately. Everytime I see sequin or glitter...or really anything shiny, I think to myself, "I have to have it." That, of course, was exactly the case when adorable Carrie Underwood flaunted those gorgeous gams on the Today Show last week. So maybe you can't belt out a country ballad- but at least you can wear her shiny outfit!

This is going to be short and sweet. I need these. I just got this email from Kate Spade. How nice of her to think of me on payday Friday! Touched as I am, I suspect many of you got the same email. Regardless, I feel as though she is speaking directly to me. Subject line: "You're Golden". Content:"A touch of luxe". Yes...YES, Kate! I am in no way suggesting that these would look flattering on me...or most, and yet...
I gotta give props where props are due. Jordin Sparks looked pretty freakin' fabulous at the "Sparkle" premiere in a little red peplum dress. The singer and actress recently talked about her 50 pound weight loss, so she has earned the right to flaunt! PS- are you guys going to go see the movie? I'm on the fence!

I am pretty sure by now you know about my love of fall- but let me add one more reason to the list: new episodes of my favorite shows!! One of my all-time faves, Gossip Girl is filming once again, and I can't wait to see if Chuck and Blaire end up together. While the new episodes won't start airing for a few more weeks, we are getting a preview of some of the looks seen on set! Being a shoe fiend, I immediately zeroed in on Leighton Meester's boots. So perfect for everything! They aren't cheap...but they just might be worth it! Fear not- I have found some less expensive lookalikes, too!

There is a golden rule when it comes to shopping: when a sale is good, share with friends. So that is what I'm doing today. In case I haven't mentioned it before I am obsessed with fall shopping. Receiving all the September issues in the mail may actually be the most excited I get all year! As they've started to arrive, I've started making a mental list of things I absolutely need. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to afford a horse to go with my new equestrian boots, but this sale may help. Until Friday Piperlime is having their "best of fall apparel sale." As in: stuff you actually want now... on sale now. Amazing! They've gone ahead and done half the work for you by curating some of their fall favorites. And with celebrity editors like Rachel Zoe, Rachel Bilson and Olivia Palermo. Who am I to argue? I've picked out some looks I'm loving below. Remember- the sale only lasts until Friday- so get shopping!
