Now that it's Labor Day- am I sad summer is more or less over? Yes. But you can only wear a maxi dress so many days in a row without feeling uninspired. While I await the full on chunky knits weather, I'm happy to start getting creative with my clothes again. That's right ladies, it's layering season! So, as you say so long to summer- say hello to some of the outerwear trends you'll be seeing this season.
Not for everyone, but varsity jackets are everywhere. If your mom didn't hoard yours in the closet since high school, try picking up one that's a little more discreet. Also love this one.
I'm so into vests right now; they may warrant their own post later on this season. There are a few ways to do them. Love a utilitarian look or go edgier with leather. The one above is a nice mix of both.
There are some really amazing drape front cardigans out there, but they can actually be quite expensive. I was inspired by this one from Alice + Olivia but am still trying to find a cheaper version that I adore. My best advice for this fall staple is to hit up your local TJ Maxx- they usually have a good supply.
Moto jackets are still huge for fall, and perfect for layering. This Mossimo one has a great price point.
